Job Overview
As a Parking Cashier Coordinator, you will lead a team of parking cashiers and provide guidance and support to ensure all work is performed to the highest standards. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of planning, including staffing and scheduling. You will oversee customer services aspects, including but not limited to dealing with customer complaints and concerns, and process incoming parking inquiries.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides excellent customer service, by answering questions from the public and it able to work with frequent interruptions.
- Take lead in event planning and execution, ensuring all details are meticulously managed and deadlines are met.
- Assist customers confidently with inquiries and complaints while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Have a working knowledge of SD Fair performances, policies, and services.
- Consistently maintains a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor in all face-to-face interactions with customers and all patrons as they drive into the Fair.
- Utilizes the companyβs ticketing software to process parking tickets.
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to relay important information and gather input.
- Anticipates and troubleshoots potential issues to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Foster a sense of unity and collaboration within the parking cashiering team.
- Operate a variety of office equipment including a computer, copier, scanner, telephone, and utilizes various computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Products and the Districtβs ticketing software.
- Must be able to address issues with cashiers or gate attendants as needed when they are not following rules and/or procedures and be able to hold them accountable.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested when needed.
- Assists in promoting our Fair Values by creating quality guest experience for both internal and external customers.

- Detail-oriented, organizational skills, quick learner, ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Being able to organize and prioritize.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Experience with the Box Office Parking Dept.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting with moderate to high noise levels.
- Work is performed around vehicular traffic.
- Regular exposure to hot/cold climates.
- Work may entail walking several miles during a shift to check in on all ticket booths and kiosks stations.
