The Seasonal Marketing Assistant will provide essential support to the Marketing Team during peak season, contributing to the execution of marketing events, campaigns, and initiatives that drive Member engagement and support the Credit Union's strategic goals

Qualifications

Essential Functions & Responsibilities of the Seasonal Marketing Assistant:

  • Assist in managing social media channels by scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and supporting campaign execution.
  • Assist in monitoring responses on all social media platforms and online review sites and working with the Marketing Coordinator to respond to and escalate Member feedback in a timely and professional manner, ensuring alignment with brand voice and Member service standards.
  • Help coordinate and execute marketing events, including planning logistics, managing vendor communications, and providing on-site support when necessary.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of seasonal marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and print.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials, such as flyers, brochures, social media posts, and email templates, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to marketing guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support to the Marketing Team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and processing invoices.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in marketing, bringing new ideas and insights to the team.

 

 

To be successful as the Seasonal Marketing Assistant we are looking for someone with:

Required Experience:  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.
  • Knowledge of social media marketing trends and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and external partners

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Basic understanding of banking or financial services industry.
  • Basic experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and principles.
  • Experience assisting with event planning and coordination.

 

Other Skills

 

  • Previous experience in a marketing or administrative role is a plus.
  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation is desirable.
  • Familiarity with marketing principles and practices is beneficial.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment is an asset.
