About The Role:

This role will be responsible for strategizing, implementing and coordinating community campaigns to amplify brand awareness and drive engagement along with building and fostering relationships with a robust and diverse Community. The primary responsibility will be to identify, collaborate with and nurture relationships with the melin Family, influencers, and entire community. In doing so, this role will help create compelling relationships and content that resonates with our target audience, promoting our products effectively. Meticulous coordination and elite people skills will be vital in ensuring the seamless execution of campaigns, tracking performance metrics, optimizing future initiatives and building impactful relationships.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and manage melin Fam, including Tier 1 brand ambassadors and larger community network
  • Act as primary point of contact for melin Fam and their management teams, including but not limited to signature hat production, photoshoot and event scheduling, and marketing strategy to ensure alignment with brand campaigns and product launches
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects that align with melin’s core values and activities
  • Maintain a list of fifty new and prospective community members that align with the verticals melin plays in (Golf, Run, Outdoor, Snow, Skate, Surf, Moto, Stick & Ball and Fashion)
  • Identify brand content opportunities with melin Fam and drive projects in coordination with Creative and Content teams
  • Lead community strategy, including grassroots programs, events, seeding and ambassador management
  • Develop and oversee community initiatives and events that build brand awareness and loyalty while achieving set KPIs for new customers and revenue
  • Work with Content Manager to source, share and secure talent for all photoshoots using created network
  • Work cross-functionally with Ecomm, Marketing, Creative and Product teams to achieve brand KPIs
  • Develop and coordinate seeding programs for each channel of distribution
  • Track and report on ROI of melin Fam, ambassadors, community activations and field marketing programs to ensure KPIs are achieved
  • Develop and share best practices, direction and tips for success for ambassadors and influencers on melin content creation
  • Draft and execute all necessary vendor set-up, paperwork and contracts for melin Fam, influencers and entire community in partnership with Accounting and Executive teams
  • Oversee accounting process to ensure successful payment process to all partners in a timely manner
  • Track, analyze and share social posting by melin Fam, influencers and entire community to understand each partners impact
  • Create and socialize a monthly impact report for melin Fam, influencers and entire community, highlighting key wins, losses and learnings
  • Stay plugged into the culture, identifying new athlete and community partnership opportunities
  • Provide feedback, insight and updates from Community at relevant meetings
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications, Skills, Experience:

  • S. or B.A. Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ Years of Sports Marketing or Community Marketing Experience
  • Able to travel up to 65% of the time domestically and work weekends/events


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Athlete management and event activation experience
  • A large rolodex of impactful and influential people
  • Production and execution of marketing campaigns around key events and community members
  • Elite organizational and project management skills with an excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time and multiple projects effectively
  • Previous experience or knowledge of Asana is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Critical thinker with top-notch analytical mindset
  • The life of the party while still acting professionally
  • Ready to roll with the punches and be on the go
  • Comfortable being on a board, behind a boat, swinging clubs or any vertical melin plays in
  • Deep knowledge of each vertical melin plays in
  • Ability to maintain a strong initiative and self-driven attitude
  • Able to work independently

 

Location & Office Structure: This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in San Clemente, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. . Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines. This position will require you to travel domestically and internationally from time to time

 

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
