*Responsibilities*
* Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and product selections.
* Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately and securely.
* Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items.
* Maintain store cleanliness and organization, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked.
* Utilize basic math skills to assist with inventory management and retail math calculations.
* Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support.
* Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Assist in training new employees on store policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
*Experience*
* Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
* Familiarity with cash handling procedures and operating cash registers.
* Basic math skills are essential for performing retail calculations accurately.
