*The Role*
Join our team as a Farmers Market Staff Member and become the face of Authors in the community. You’ll represent our brand at local markets by delivering warm customer experiences, scooping our beloved small-batch ice cream, and ensuring smooth setup and teardown of our cart operations. *Responsibilities*
* Set up and break down the ice cream cart and booth at farmers market locations
* Serve and scoop our premium ice cream with a high level of care and consistency
* Maintain food safety and hygiene standards throughout the shift
* Greet and interact with customers, providing an excellent and enthusiastic service experience
* Handle cash and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately
* Keep the workspace organized, tidy, and inviting
* Represent the Authors brand with professionalism and positivity
*Qualifications*
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings on weekends
* Friendly and engaging attitude with a love for serving customers
* Physically able to assist with cart setup and takedown (some lifting required)
* Responsible and mature—able to work independently or with a small team
* Comfortable handling money and basic sales transactions
* Previous food service experience is a plus, but not required
