Description

The Summit Area YMCA is hiring a dynamic, detail-oriented Executive Assistant & Community Garden Administrator to support our President/CEO and lead the operations of our vibrant Community Garden. This unique, full-time role blends executive-level administrative support with hands-on coordination of a mission-driven garden program that serves our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the President/CEO and senior leaders
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and high-quality PowerPoint presentations.
  • Draft agendas and take accurate Board and committee meeting minutes within 48 hours.
  • Manage calendars, prepare Board materials, handle correspondence, and maintain confidential files
  • Oversee registration, plot assignments, volunteer committees, and events for the Community Garden
  • Support food pantry partnerships, educational initiatives, and seasonal planning
  • Serve as a positive, professional representative of the CEO’s office and the YMCA

Salary & Benefits

This full-time, non-exempt position generally works Monday–Friday during standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities. The Salary range for this position is $23.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements
  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field is required. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an executive administrative or high-level support role.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment and discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with nonprofit, community engagement, or volunteer management is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of gardening or willingness to learn.
