Position Title: Farmers Market Vendor

Reports To: Market Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Farmers Market Vendors. As a vendor, you will play a vital role in providing non alcoholic beverages to our community at the weekly farmers market. Your primary responsibilities will include selling high-quality products, engaging with customers, managing inventory, and maintaining a positive, welcoming environment at your market booth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and break down market booth, ensuring all items are displayed neatly and attractively.
* Sell a variety of beverage‘s to customers in a friendly and professional manner.
* Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and maintaining a positive, approachable attitude.
* Manage product inventory, ensuring sufficient stock is available for each market day.
* Handle cash transactions and manage sales, including processing payments and giving accurate change.
* Ensure compliance with all market regulations, including health and safety standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of booth space throughout the day.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with regular customers and promote products effectively.
* Work collaboratively with fellow vendors and market organizers to ensure a smooth operation.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in retail, food sales, or direct customer service is preferred.
* A passion for local products, sustainability, and community engagement.
* Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
* Availability to work during market hours, early Sunday mornings.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of product and display materials.
* Ability to set up and break down displays and market tents.
Compensation:
18-20$ based on a percentage of sales plus tips. Cold beverages will be available for you to consume
