Amor Pork is looking for a motivated, friendly, and reliable individual to represent our farm at local farmers markets. As our Farmers Market Sales Representative, you'll be the face of our brand—interacting with customers, educating them on our products, and helping them bring high-quality local meat to their tables.
*Responsibilities:*
* Set up and take down the market booth with a clean, appealing display
* Greet customers and share the story of Amor Pork and our products
* Answer questions about cuts, cooking tips, and farm practices
* Operate a point-of-sale system and handle cash/card transactions
* Pick up inventory from our processor and ensure proper storage and transport
* Restock and manage inventory of vacuum-sealed, frozen meat products
* Ensure all food safety and handling guidelines are followed
* Transport coolers, tent, and supplies to and from the market
*Requirements:*
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Experience in retail sales and cash handling
* Proficient in basic math and retail math
* Ability to operate a POS system
* Experience in stocking and merchandising products
* Valid driver's license required
* Supervisory experience is advantageous
* Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
* Able to lift and move coolers (~50 lbs)
* Previous farmers market, retail, or food experience is a plus
* Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
