Why We Need You

We are seeking someone to assist in our Source Farms Farm Stand,  and potentially Farmers Markets and events. This is a position that would be working Tuesdays and/or Fridays.

This is a great opportunity to be on the ground floor of this exciting new venture. We are in the early stages of executing the full vision of Source Farms and The Ground, and are looking for someone who is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a small, but quickly growing environment.  

Responsibilities

• Staff the Source Farms Farm Store and Farmers Market and talk to customers, and assist with sales 
• Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner 
• Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products and partners to effectively advise and  sell to customers in person, through email, over the phone or other channels 
• Maintain the appearance of all displays, tidying and restocking as needed 
• Participate in inventorying, stocking, and ordering as needed  
• Assist with pick up and distribution of orders at various processors  
• Packing and shipping orders weekly
• Prompt, personable, knowledgeable, solution-oriented responses to customers both in written and verbal form 

  Qualifications 

• Personable, friendly, and a genuine desire to provide outstanding service 
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices 
• Experience using Point of Sale systems, preferably Square 
• Proficiency to communicate with customers, vendors, and coworkers through phone, email, and in person 
• Experience in attracting and retaining customers  
• Ability to work as part of a team and take independent initiative without direct supervision 
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance 
• Experience providing excellent and gracious customer service plus follow through 
• Strong organizational skills 
• Plans, prioritizes, and organizes work effectively  
• Familiarity and passion with grass-fed and regenerative meat products 
• Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record 

Working conditions: Position requires prolonged standing, bending, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and working in a freezer at times.

Work Location: This position is based in Yamhill, OR. We ask that the person live within 30 minutes of Yamhill County if possible, or be willing to commute.
