Join us as an Events and Community Manager and drive Qonto's expansion across German-speaking markets through strategic event planning and community building.
You'll increase our acquisition and market awareness while establishing Qonto as a thought leader in the DACH fintech ecosystem. As our Events and Community Manager, you'll directly impact Qonto's revenue growth in Germany and Austria, working closely with Laura GΓΌnder, our Head of Marketing - Central Europe, to build scalable event operations that connect with hundreds of thousands of SMEs.
π©βπ»π§βπ» As an Events and Community Marketing ManagerΒ at Qonto, you will:
β’ Plan and execute high-impact external events for up to 500 attendees, transitioning from partner-led to Qonto-owned events
β’ Build strategic relationships with regional communities, fintech associations, and key stakeholders across DACH markets
β’ Develop comprehensive event strategies that drive both acquisition and engagement, with focus on expat communities and SME networks
β’ Create and implement scalable event processes, including request systems, reporting structures, and quality standards
β’ Manage end-to-end event operations including venue booking, vendor coordination, budget management, and on-site execution
β’ Work with modern project management platforms, event management systems, and comprehensive reporting tools to track acquisition metrics and community engagement

β’ You'll be entering an exciting expansion phase as we extend into Austria and build deeper German market penetration, with increased budget allocation for events and community-focused marketing initiative

β’ Our events team is scaling rapidly with proven ROI from strategic partnerships and community engagement, now transitioning to more autonomous event ownership
β’ You'll work with modern project management platforms, event management systems, and comprehensive reporting tools to track acquisition metrics and community engagement
β’ This role offers significant autonomy to build and innovate within our events strategy, with direct impact on Qonto's DACH market success

β’Β German Language Mastery: Native or C2-level German proficiency with professional experience in German-speaking markets to authentically engage with local SME communities and stakeholders
β’Β Event Management Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on event planning experience, including managing budgets of β¬20K+ and delivering B2B events for 100+ attendees with measurable ROI
β’Β Process & Operations Excellence: Proven ability to create scalable processes, manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously, and establish quality standards for consistent event delivery
β’Β Cross-functional Leadership: Track record of successful collaboration across sales, marketing, and product teams, with ability to communicate event ROI to senior leadership
β’Β Adaptive Problem-Solving: Experience in fast-paced environments with examples of successful crisis management, strategic pivots, and innovative solutions under pressure
